SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN THE BAY

This weekend in the Bay Area there are many wonderful live music performances to choose from. Tonight is one of those nights where I wish I could be in several places at once! I have compiled a list of a few of the choices here...

Friday | March 23rd The Radiators will be at the Great American Music Hall tonight and Saturday, finishing up a three night run. Up in North Beach, JamBase Presents The Slip with mood food opening at the beautiful Broadway Studios. Tongue & Groove hosts Wise Monkey Orchestra with Dave Ellis + DJ T.E.S.T., a Mystery Machine Production. Wise Monkey will also play the Tongue & Groove on Saturday. Sunset Promotions has Michael "Kidd Funkadelic" Hampton at Justice League with Will Bernard and Motherbug. This is Hampton's first ever solo gig outside of P-Funk. Tree o' Frogs, Blue Tulip and LizAnah are at the 7th Note Showclub on Columbus. boomshanka, !Tang and Marginal Prophets are at the Paradise Lounge. The Broun Fellinis are at Bruno's. Om will play Butterfly SF. Netwerk: Electric is at *Space 550 (Barnveld). Phil Guy (Buddy Guy's brother!) is at the Boom Boom Room tonight and Saturday. Jim White will be at Foley's. Brigitte DeMeyer and her band are at Borders in Palo Alto. David Lindley and Wally Ingram are at Villa Montalvo. Legion of Mary and Cosmic Mercy play the Dead-a-thon at Ashkenaz in Berkeley. You can catch some great bluegrass with Perfect Strangers featuring Jody Stecher at the Freight & Salvage. Starry Plough hosts Popular Noise Foundation's Cover-to-Cover series with the Bellyachers, Ramona the Pest, Matt Easton and more. Chemystry Set plays at the Danville Grange Hall, an all ages benefit for the Greenbelt Alliance and Save Mt. Diablo. Wig Salad and New Monsoon will rip it up at 19 Broadway in Fairfax. Uncle Harlen's Band is at Henfling's in Ben Lomond.
