On The Edge "Reviews Of Artists You Should Know About"

To date, Lauan Records has released two compilations entitled Three Sets
Volumes 1 and 2. Each is a compilation of live recordings by jam-bands from
around the country, and as the title suggests, each includes three bands,
all of whom should be familiar to Relix readers. Volume 1 includes
Georgia's Day By The River, Boston's Jiggle the Handle (including a
delightful ten-minute take of "Walking Backwards") and San Francisco's
Vinyl. The second disk includes music from Texas's LARRY, Georgia's Ancient
Harmony (who contributes the epic 26-minute opus "Memory") and the
jazz-funk/rock of San Diego's Wise Monkey Orchestra. The sound quality is
excellent and the music inspiring, with both discs containing over 70
minutes of prime live jams. (Lauan Records, 2012 Spruce St. #3, Boulder, CO
